Access to the LC catalog and those of numerous other public and
university libraries. Z39.50 is an international (ISO 23950) standard defining a protocol
for computer-to-computer information retrieval. Z39.50 makes it possible for a user in one
system to search and retrieve information from other computer systems (that have also
implemented Z39.50) without knowing the search syntax that is used by those other systems.

"The Saskatoon Theological Union emphasizes works of a
theological nature. The STU includes: The College of Emmanuel and St. Chad; Lutheran
Theological Seminary; and St. Andrew's College. The books of the St. Stephen's College
Reference Library (University of Alberta) in Edmonton, AB are also included in this
database.

TST consists of Emmanuel, Knox, Regis, St. Augustine's, St. Michael's,
Trinity, and Wycliffe colleges. The seven TST libraries are integrated into the University of Toronto library system.
The TST libraries also make a substantial financial contribution to the theological
collection at the U of T's Robarts library. Affiliated colleges (Conrad Grebel College,
Waterloo Lutheran Seminary, McMaster Divinity College, and the Institute for Christian
Studies) are not included in this catalogue. The combined TST/UofT collection is extensive
in both breadth and depth. It covers all theological and cognate disciplines in English,
French, German, Italian, and Spanish. There are also large selections in Russian, Greek,
Dutch, and many other languages.
